Me? A Car? Why yes!
Sep. 22nd, 2005 08:32 pmNo more bumming rides.

This is a 1989 Fort Tempo in white with black accents. No, this is not MY 1989 Tempo in white with black accents, but I now own a 1989 tempo with black accents that is identical to this one.
It passed emmissions with flying colors. We took it to a second mechanic and he said that it was in excellent condition.
The breaks, belts, shocks, alternater, battery are all BRAND SPANKING NEW and the engine is so clean you could eat off of it. It has 4 new tires and a new 300 dollar cd player sound system.
Mine for 700 dollars... I came up with a couple hundered, so did mom and dad each and we scraped it together. I payed the taxes to have the title transfered to my mom's name (So we can save money by putting a second car under her insurance rather than adding a new driver. So rather my paing 60 a month for insurance I just give her 35.) today and we bring it home next week.
I've had a permit for a while now and have been getting a lot of behind-the-wheel time, and they say you should learn to drive and take your drivers test in the car you're going to be driving so... this is my car. I should have a lisence in a few weeks.
You know, my whole life I've been bumming rides. I can't even quite get my head around driving myself places. I can't even quite fathom it yet. I'm sure many who know me in RL feel the same way.
For those who don't know. My parents got divorced when I was in High School. With the end of the duel incomes we had no money for an additional car or for the extra insurance or ever for drivers ed fees. So, driving was just something that never really happened for us. My brother only got his lisence last month, so now it's my turn.
I have my own car you guys.
Ali has a car.
