4th of July Nonsense

I am such a dork.
Yesterday, when I was working in the church nursery, the congregation started singing "My Country tis of thee" instead of the usual hymns. That's normal enough for 4th of July weekend.
Yet while I was listening to them sing from the safety of the basement room with the small kids, the ONLY thing going through my head was:
Our Country reeks of trees
Our yaks are really large
And they smell like rotting beef carcasses
And we have to clean-up after them
Our saddle sores are the best
We proudly wear women's clothing
And searing sand blows up our skirts
The buzzards soar overhead
Poisonous snakes devour us whole
And our bones will bleach in the sun
And we will probably go to *thbppth* (Hell "bleeped" with farting noise)
And that is our great reward
For being the-uh-Roy-yal Candian Kilted Yaksmen
We pretend we're grown ups but we're not.
