Summer of Love

Not really, it just seemed the title.

I used to post so much... what's the deal? I used to be addicted to LJ. Whenever something funny or interesting would happen my first thought would be to start mentally constructing a post about it, how I would describe it.

Now it seems I can't even get motivated to write a post.

It's nuts.

Hell, I'm twisting my own arm to write this.

Had a blast at citizenjess's place last week. The icon says it all.

Went and saw Superman Returns the other night with Andy, lady_door et. company. I highly reccomend it. The visuals are GORGEOUS, the peformances are wonderful, and the story is well written. It really is beautiful. I loved it. Brandon did his frigging homework. There are moments where his smile, an expression, or a pattern of speech on a sentence were so much like Chris Reeve that he made you do a double take. He moved seamlessly into the role. Kevin Spacy and Parker Posey were also brilliant.

You all must go if you haven't yet.

And also... I'll say it again... the shots and visuals are so completely stunning.

I also got as drunk as I have been in years at a party with the same crew one week ago tonight.

Best drinking game ever and the walk to safeway at 1am while still slightly hammered was too fun.


I've been working a lot of hours but at least I've got mornings off again. My paycheks have been fatter lately, which is good.

I'm also getting back on my weight loss regiem. I dance at the end of August and I want to go down in weight before my birthday. I have almost two months. Wish me luck! I'll probably start posting about that to keep me on track.

Um... things are pretty still this end. Just enjoying time off before everything goes nuts this fall.

I'm looking forward to student teaching and dreading it at the same time, both.

I saw it but my one major quarrel which kind of ruined the whole thing for me was that it was soooo LOOONNGGG! It was enjoyable but after the first 2 hours go by I just couldn't keep from checking my watch every 5 minutes... i think they should have done something about that...

You know, I didn't even notice. I had no idea how long it was until it was over.

I think if they'd tried to make it shorter, so much of the build up and impact would have been lost. It would have felt rushed and the pacing would have been thrown off.

I was just so wrapped up.

The other thing I really liked is that there were several incidents where a cliche movie convention would have fit in perfectly, and you were expecting it and it didn't happen.

I liked that.

Yah, It had been the same for a while so I decided it needed a change. I'm not sure I love it though. I'm keeping it to see if I get used to it but I might change it again.
