Movie Review

Almost perfect. The only thing they should have done was release it under its full title: "What NOT to do in the event of..."
Big, disappointment. SERIOUSLY annoying + stupid couple, those typical "horror movie decisions" rampant, and the "grainy night footage of a couple in a bed... door closing/footsteps/shadow on the wall" you tube "ghost" video thing stopped being scary before the movie even got through the half way point.
Seriously, you know those older Goofy cartoons where he would get his car fixed/learn to dance/date/learn to ski/go on a diet etc? and totally FAIL through the whole thing? It was like that... with ghosts.
And I had such high hopes...
*sigh*
Still, effective editing and use of audio. The sound editing was actually kinda cool. The atmosphere was very effective and well set, there just wasn't enough material to carry it off. And this is someone who really does appreciate subtlety in horror and is really into the "Less is more" theory behind a good scare. But I don't know... it just didn't fly for me in this one.
They were hitting the "Blair Witch Project" mold pretty hard, and I know it's an unpopular viewpoint these days but, actually The original Blair Witch was better... and scarier...
