Dare I say... Fangirl?
Feb. 11th, 2005 12:01 amOkay... For some absolutely unfathomable reason I feel the need to have this little moment and say this. I don't know why, I guess I just need to prove what a complete and utter freak I am.
I love Warwick Davis.
He's one of the most talented, impressive, and interesting people going and a lot of people don't even realize what he does or HOW MUCH he does in the entertainment industry.
You've all seen him like, eighty-bazillion times and you really don't it was him all those times, and if you did you'd immediately respect him immensely, but it seems only a handful of people have figured it out.
The script to Willow (yes, I just heard two thirds of you go "Oh THAT'S who she's talking about? The little guy from Willow? WTF?) was written with him in mind and he was only 18 when he did that role. He was only 13 when he was the principal ewok in The Return of the Jedi, and the made for tv ewok spinoff movies when he was about 15.
He was the mouse Reepacheep in the BCC made for tv chronicles of Narina, worked as a goblin in Labyrinth (Even I didn't know that one) etc. etc. And the cult horror "Leprechaun" movies. He's done over thirty movies. Including the Harry Potter movies, as Professor Flttwick AND as various goblins. (That IS him in the bank scene in the first movie.)
That many movies, including the original AND new Star Wars movies, Harry Potter, etc. etc. That's fucking impressive! Why isn't he a "Big Name"? Why isn't he going down the red carpet? Seriously!
He's also written and produced movies AND runs a talent agency specializing in representing little people and he's only in his mid thirties.
Can we just acknowledge how cool he is for a second please?
Ok, I'm done.
That was stupid, I know.
You may all berate me and think me a freak now. That was the geekiest thing I’ve ever done.
