Honestly, I think it's the best Harry Potter movie to date.
1. I've seen the complaint that the movie was Rushed. I can see the basis for that complaint, but seriously... what were their options given the amount they had had to cover in the time they had?
2. I think they left more out (Won't say what for those who didn't see) than they did in the other ones. But honsetly, the PROBLEM with the first one was that, in Chris' effort to include EVERY LITTLE THING and sub-plots and details, he burried the important plot points trying to show all the little sub-plots. In his effort to include it all he touched on everything but went into detail on nothing, making the film completely incomprehensible to anyone who hasn't read the book. I would have liked him to have left the less-important stuff out and gone into the important stuff in detail.
I felt this movie suceeded where the Chris Colombus ones failed. They did an excellent job remaining faithful to the book while taking the appropraite measures to simplify the story enough to translate it to the film medium and still be watchable.
Yes, there were some things I missed. I wanted to see more of the Barty Crouch/Barty Crouch Jr. storyline. I found it one of the more disturbing elements in the book for some reason and I felt they skimmed through that, but you honestly can't have everything and still have it be a neat, un-cluttered, un-confusing(to those who haven't read the book) move. I point to the first one again.
3. Cho has an Irish accent. WTF?
4. If you like the Weasley Twins, you will be very, very happy with this movie.
5. The Patil twins are surprisingly hot.
6. Will people lay of Movie!Fleur? She's lovely. I know perhaps she didn't meet peopel's mental image of Fleur's etherial beauty, but what real-life human being could? She's beautiful.
7. I've always loved Miranda Richardson. She made the perfect Rita!
8. RALPH FINNES ROCKS MY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Graveyard scene will knock you to the ground.
