I, like a lot of kids, had a habit of watching movies I liked over and over on a loop. So, this is really hard to answer.

My best guess would most likely be "The Neverending Story." One of the most pervasive crushes of my childhood (note the word childhood in there, lest you call me a pedophile ;) ) was Noah Hathaway who played Atrayu.

I still think it's one of the great fantasy movies of the 1980s, and stands up to adult viewing.

I don't have a recurring dream. However, frequently in my dreams I find rooms. Beautiful fully furnished rooms, always in a place I'm already familiar with. And I'm always very happy to find them.

Personally, I always thought it had something to do with unmet potential or me being able to do more than I think I can.

I wonder how many animals died of abuse or neglect, or how many puppy or kitten mills went unchecked, or how many animal shelters had to euthanize animals because they were desperately in need of funds and had no one to help raise money for them, while these people who supposedly care were out bleating about this ridiculous nonsense.

Priorities, people.

I LOVE Halloween, it's my favorite holiday. Of course I dress up. Frequently, it's a fandom/fan thing. Sometimes, me and my friends get together with a theme. This year is neither.

I like to sew, so I usually make my costume, and this year it's STEAMPUNK BABY!

"Bad luck and extreme misfortune will infest your pathetic soul for all eternity."

A Nickelodeon 90s classic gave us this gem, and my favorite fortune ever.
JUST ONCE I want to put that in a fortune cookie.

This is an interesting question with a complicated answer. I agree with some of my fellows. It's badly put. But, I'll phrase the answer to match it.

Yes, everything WILL have a scientific explanation, someday. I believe when science is advanced enough, everything will be explained. However, "scientific explanation" has a connotation to mean that the scientific explanation will rule out anything beyond the natural world as we know it, and will discount anything now defined as "supernatural."

I believe that things like psychic phenomenon, ESP, the power of the mind to impact the natural world around you, reincarnation, spirits, ghosts, and God all exist. And, I believe that one day we will be advanced enough to be able to quantify these things and have a scientific explanation as to how and why they exist.

I believe that spirituality and even magic are part of the natural world, and one day our understanding of the natural world will be expanded to incorporate and give a scientific explanation to them.

In addition, I see absolutely no reason why the fact that we understand how something happens negates the spiritual aspect of it. I find it ultimately ridiculous to claim that we have to be clueless as to how something works for it to have a connection to a higher power or spiritual element.

Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face.

The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown.

The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save Us!"...

...and I'll look down, and whisper, "No".

Ok, I had to do it. Tee hee.

Anyone who thinks that they don't hasn't met my cat, Pietro. Not only does he have a sense of humor, he has a fully formed sense of comedic timing.

Story: Once I was using "Write or Die", which is a program designed to keep you writing. If you stop writing, it has a host of annoying noises that it plays at you, from babies crying to bad violin playing to annoying pop songs and anything you can think of.

So, I'm writing and Pietro starts that "HURK! HURK!" like he's caughting up a hair ball. I stop typing to say "Sweetie, are you ok?"

Handson's "Umm Bop" start's playing and he vomits spectacularly on the carpet.

Ben

I know, I'm a freak but honestly? On it's own it's really sweet. I knew the song before I ever knew it in the film context. In context, there's a lot of black humor there, and the double layers to the lyrics and subtle dissonance in the counter melodies really make it a well written song.

I don't have recurring dreams per-say. But, I do dream a lot about being some place, usually a place that in the dream is home but is nothing like my real life home (and always different from dream to dream) and finding rooms.

They're always beautiful and very well furnished and elegant and I'm always happy. In the dream I'm almost always thinking about moving into them and living there. I don't know why. It's not the same dream over and over, it's just something that happens a lot in my dreams.

I think it probably means something about potential and being able to do more than I realize I can do... I suppose.

Absolutely not.

Now, I fully support the right of a Church choose who they perform a religious marriage ceremony for. The church has the right to deny a ceremony to whomever they please, and I support that right. If a church wants to refuse to have a wedding in their church because they don't like the bride's dress, they can. That's fine.

However, I don't believe the government should dictate who enters into a legal marriage contract and gets a marriage license with all the rights and privileges that go with it.

These are two different things.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

I know that it's practically become a cliche, the favorite of the poser goth, emo, and quasi-artsy set, but it is my favorite. I adore that movie. It's startlingly unique and unforgettably beautiful in its way. There's just not another movie like it.

Other favorites include Edward Scissorhands, A Christmas Story, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and It's a Wonderful Life.

Dark Shadows got robbed. I got hooked on it in reruns and I want more! And Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Kids in the Hall... mostly shows I watched on Comedy Central when I was a teenager, before South Park made the network a big deal. And the biggie, the show that after their season Finale REQUIRED another season...

Twin Peaks

Anyone who's seen that finale knows what I'm talking about, and if I could give another season to ANY series in the WORLD, it would be Peaks.

I am weirdly afraid of balls, and being hit by balls. No, no double entente thank you. Just any game where there were a lot of basketballs or volly balls or anything like that being hit around and I would get very flinchy. I remember when they'd set up hoops all around the gym and had 2-3 people shooting hoops and basketballs flying everywhere I'd always have mass anxiety about being hit with one and freak out.

I don't know why; those balls aren't even that hard to be hit with. I'm just REALLY REALLY skittish about it. Which made me GREAT at PE let me tell you.

I actually didn't mind the jogging and running though. I found it kinda relaxing and peaceful just to sort of zone out while running and going along the laps around the school. I didn't mind it at all.

I once had a twenty minute conversation with a woman about what the difference between a square and a rectangle was.

I was doing customer service for a home shopping network. I took orders and answered product questions, handled "Hey I ordered this in blue and it came in red!" type calls. Stuff like that. It really wasn't that bad.

So anyway, we had a clock show and this woman calls in and says "I saw this clock on your show and I was wondering how much it was." Ok, this is a normal call. She describes the clock as having certain features and being "square."

So, I find a clock that matches her description and that has the features she's talking about. It's the only one that matches her description, except it's not square. And I'm NOT splitting hairs here. It was very long and narrow. So, I tell the lady "Well, I found a clock like that except it's more a rectangle than a square. Is that your clock m'am?"

Then I get to have this conversation:

"A what?"
"A rectangle."
"What's that?"
"It's like a square, only longer."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that in a square all the sides are the same length, but this one has two sides that are longer and two sides that are shorter."
"Oh, like you mean one of those ones where two of the sides are tipped inwards?"
"Uh, no. It's just.... elongated. Like a door or a standard book or something."
"Oh.. oh I see so it's longer. And a square all the sides are the same length."
"Yes."
"Huh, I've never heard that before. What did you call that again?"
"Uh, a rectangle."

Now, had she been a little old lady I would have been like "Ok Fine." But this woman sounded like she was about my age.

I'm a "buy it and heat it up" kind of cook. However, the more I cook the more I realise it's not so hard. :-) I can make a few things pretty well.

The one thing I make is a fruit salad. When I was little, we were having dinner at a my parent's friend's house. We had a fruit salad that I thought was delicious. My dad's friend's wife told me that it was just canned fruit, cool whip, and mini-marshmellows. Excited, I declared "I can make that!" I was about 8 or 9 then and I still make it on Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it.

Though Wendy would be quite good enough.

(In no particular order)

Tommy - The Who
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band - The Beatles
Nevermind - Nirvana
Night at the Opera - Queen
An Innocent Man - Billy Joel
Let it Be - Beatles Again
The Kids are Alright - The Who

I'm stopping a few short because I made a decision not to include things like Broadway Cast Recordings, Movie Soundtracks, and albums that feature singers singing things that other people wrote, and that's what I have most of. But, allow me to supplement with a few of those on a different list.

Les Miserables - Original London Cast Recording
Hedwig and the Angry Inch - Both movie Soundtrack and Cast Recording
Assassins - Original Cast Recording
Sweeney Todd - Original Cast Recording
Center Stage - Anthony Warlow
On the Boards - Anthony Warlow
